
Dr. Robert E. Mace joined the Texas Water Development Board in 1999 to manage the Groundwater Availability Modeling Program. Over the next nine years, he rose from a unit leader to director for Groundwater Resources Division to assuming his present role in February 2009 as Deputy Executive Administrator of the Texas Water Development Board to lead the Water Science and Conservation program area. Prior to Texas Water Development Board, Mace worked eight years at the Bureau of Economic Geology at The University of Texas at Austin as a hydrologist and research scientist. Dr. Mace has a B.S. in Geophysics and an M.S. in Hydrology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Ph.D. in Hydrogeology from The University of Texas at Austin. He has published more than 200 articles, reports, papers, and abstracts and given more than 150 presentations.
