The Texas Water Journal

The Texas Water Journal  (ISSN 2160-5319) is an online, peer-reviewed, and indexed journal devoted to the timely consideration of Texas water resources management, research, and policy issues from a multidisciplinary perspective that integrates science, engineering, law, planning, and other disciplines.  The journal also provides updates on key state legislation and policy changes and publishes papers regarding the water resources that Texas shares with other states in the U.S. and Mexico.

The Texas Water Journal is open-access and does not charge either publication or subscription fees.  The journal is indexed by Scopus, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Google Scholar, and more.  The DOAJ awarded the Texas Water Journal the DOAJ Seal for demonstrating best practices in open access publishing.  The journal uses a blind peer-review process.  Accepted papers are published continuously as they are ready, and each published paper is assigned a DOI® and digitally archived using the Public Knowledge Project’s Preservation Network.

The journal is published by the Texas Water Journal 501(c)(3) in cooperation with the Texas Water Resources Institute, part of Texas A&M AgriLife ResearchTexas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University and the Bureau of Economic Geology in the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin.
